Assistant to Staff (Intern Position)

The Assistant to Staff will be responsible for providing administrative and editorial support to the Editor-in-Chief and to staff members of UTM.
Candidates should possess the ability to multitask efficiently, great detail to work assigned to them, superior written and verbal skills, and an interest to writing, blogging, event planning and customer service.

This a unique opportunity to work at a fast-paced, multi-platform media company, work closely with various members of the media culture and public at large. The successful candidate may be called on to transcribe a celebrity interview, then post to social media outlets, promote in person the UTM at various events and may even be called upon to represent and write an article on an event. The candidate will be involved in conference calls, various meetings, and assist staff at events.

General responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support.
Answering phone calls Calendar management, including coordinating and supporting the staff.
Managing high-volume email communication, tracking and responding to key industry connections
Coordinating various staff meetings
Attending editorial meetings
Occasional research for pieces, transcription
Assisting with interview or presentation preparation
Potential to contribute to the magazine, website, video and social media teams when time allows

College Degree
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to anticipate needs and offer extreme follow-through
Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Enthusiasm for travel and the industry
Knowledge of Microsoft Office

This is an intern-based position that does not have a salary. Compensation will be access to major events,  and certain costs covered by UTM when applicable, as well as access to products. The candidate will be required to sign a non-disclosure contract upon acceptance of position.

Digital Sales Manager
UTM is searching for that individual that is responsible for generating advertising revenue via the various levels UTM offers, by identifying prospects, developing strategic plans, preparing presentations, negotiating rates, and communicating results or problems to the UTM management team.

Sell creative media and integrated content campaigns to the brands of various industries.
Work closely with management on media levels offered, client contracts and delivery of campaigns in a timely manner
Development of Marketing Proposals
Development of media plans, client proposals and contracts
Manage flow of communication between the UTM management team and potential/current clients to deliver the final completion of sold programs
Identify market trends
Ensure that all digital campaigns go live, including the collection, submission and ultimately live pushing of assets
Accurately track and forecast sales and results
Managing and nurturing existing client relationships and fostering new relationships

3 or more years of experience selling digital media and branded content to top lifestyle brands
Deep understanding of the digital landscape, effective sales skills, ability to multi-task, negotiation techniques and strong communication skills
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals as determined by management
Client and/or agency relationships in luxury market preferred
Experience closing/managing large media and custom content deals
Strong creative thinking and interpersonal/ communications skills
