Kid Cashew Brings Mediterranean Flavor and Flair to the Queen City!
So after the Thanksgiving holidays, one is usually left with a lot of leftovers, and eating turkey for days can get a bit old.
Such was the case, so while out and about a visit to Kid Cashew was a well-deserved treat! Upon entering the restaurant, you a greeted by staff to a warm inviting atmosphere that reflects the Mediterranean countryside. The restaurant motto is “sharing flavors and laughter” which was evident in our waitress’s attention to our first visit. She made suggestions from the menu, explaining the portion size and flavors involved. Starters consisted of the Baked Spinach & Feta Dip, along with the Avocado with Quinoa, both of which were fresh and flavorful! What I loved about the spot was how the foods are prepared on an open grill.
Their belief is “no freezer, no fryer, no heat lamp…so I watched attentively as the cook seasoned whole chickens and placed them into the rotisserie, the sizzling, the smells keeping us captivated until our dishes arrived.
Arriving on time was the Lamb Gyro, which was seasoned perfectly and had crispy kettle chips as a side. The Garden Greens Salad with the Wood Fired Scottish Salmon had a delicious Cilantro Yogurt dressing that enhanced the greens and salmon. Everything was wonderful, and caused all of us to agree to return and try additional dishes, as well as enjoy the daily specials they have on weekdays from 3 to 5 pm.
Kid Cashew gets a 4.5 out of 5 from Urban Tymes for sure!
