Krazy Fish and More!!

Eclectic ingredients, plus creativity equals a great dining experience!
Krazy Fish restaurant on Central Ave is anything but a regular restaurant. Upon pulling into the parking lot, the former Pizza Hut and bar is gleefully decorated with art and whimsical pieces all over. But the outside is nothing in comparison to the inside, as various woods, art, signs and toy decorate the walls and ceiling…..

But we didn’t come here for the art and décor, no , we heard about the seafood, and man we were pleased! The server tempted me with the 1.50 “mystery beer” (a beer they choose to have on special, but won’t tell you what they are giving you) alongside an order of Fried Calamari…which blended well, as they fry their calamari up golden brown and hinted with lemongrass. Next on order, the Neptune Platter, with fried fish, scallops, shrimp and more calamari, along with fried daily vegetables, each bite was better and better.
Then we had to sample the tacos, preferably the Salmon tacos with Szechuan sauce, accompanied with a side order of Jalapeno Cheese Grits and Blackeye peas salad. These parings , the slightly spiced grits along with the tangy salad and full tacos…had a brother saying “wow!”
Our waiter came by and then tempted us with a sample of their Apple Martini, and it too was a perfect for what we were eating. Basically, this restaurant has pushed food to the edge with crazy pairings from Asian, Mediterranean, and Island influences (specials noted on the board today was Strawberry Crab Cakes, Thai Mussels, and more!) Drink menu consisted of various beers, flavored Mojitos, and other classic drinks with a creative flair…..

My suggestion, get down here during lunch and try the various faire, preparing your taste buds for the night, when those items are full plate and will satisfy any appetite!!! And if you are in the neighborhood on Sunday, go by to experience their Sunday Brunch, featuring everything from Chicken and Waffles, Shrimp and Grits, Steak and Eggs, and banging Mimosas!!!
