UT: Hi Jo’nez, thank you for sitting down with me to interview for Urban Tymes Mag! I’ve been eager to share this moment with you!  We know that you are an actress/model and spokes model can you share with us your affiliation?

JCA: Yes of course, thank you I’m very excited to be featured with the HOT Urban Tymes Mag. I’ve been blessed this year tremendously I’ve just been signed to an LA Agency (90210 Talent Agency), I’m also a new DJ on 94.1 FM “The After Hours” which airs every other Saturday at 1AM with Arek B, DJ.Chill and Wesley Burton. I’m a model for On the Runway Boutique. I have my own line coming this summer with the wonderful and extraordinary designer of LE BELLE MOI Ronita W. who’s also making my gown for the screening. I have a wonderful team that supports me Image & Stylist Felicia Renee, PR Black Pearl ENT., Management Natalie Williams and the best MUA and hair stylist Cenitra Scott owner of Fancy Fanatics Beauty Parlor. As far as producers and directors I’m affiliated with all of them but I started with Pharoah Films/HITM/Where Media Meets Studios (one family).

JCA: My closet affiliate would be Banksenterprise.org it was founded by my father Alan Banks and we’ve refurbished many historical theaters and recreation centers, we offer a food pantry every Friday and we offer free custodial classes at the (Berkeley Youth Alternatives) BYA in Berkeley, CA   and so much more please visit our website.

UT: We at Urban Tymes have featured a few of your cohorts and I love how each of you are independently doing your “thing” but working together as well. Please share with us how you’ve launched your acting career and aspirations.

JCA: Yes I’m so proud of my cohorts. God used me in a major way to bless friends with additional opportunities; one was by making me a casting director on the side. I’ve been blessed to provide my friends with great opportunities Google, Food Network, Fruitvale Station, Basketball 3:16, Hopes Identity, The Shop, Selling Dreams and Pharoah Films Show on KOFY. Many of my friends and work associates have taken their careers to another level and are now helping create work for others and paying good deeds forward; I just love it the bay area is going to shock Hollywood. I got my start as a child but my break came through Pharoah Powell who I thank dearly. Also Taylor Poynter remembered me for helping her and referred me to Fruitvale Station. People have really given back to me; grateful for good Karma.

UT: In reference to your modeling career as a full figured model are you referenced by any agencies or management groups?

JCA: I’m represented by 90210 Talent Agency across the board for all talents.

UT: Where will we see you next? What are your upcoming projects or gigs?

JCA: I next see myself in main stream Hollywood, appearing in scandal or something working with F Gary Gray, Michael Bay 🙂 I believe God is preparing me, without him I wouldn’t be. In my very near future I have two films screening at the BAL Theater in the Oakland International Film Festival April 4th 6pm “SET ME FREE” produced by Marcus “Big Spence” and Anquanitta Williams and Hopes Identity at 9pm produced by Christopher Ellis. I’m also having a fundraiser for Banksenterprise.org April 5th at 1pm and yes, I’m a GOLD member. Also our web series “The Dirty” produced by Shawn Cunningham and directed by AL Milton will now air on OURTV Thursday at 930pm and Saturday at 11pm.

UT: Thank you sooooo much for taking a time to chat with us at Urban Tymes Magazine. We look forward to networking with you and please keep us abreast for your future endeavors.

JCA: Thank you very much and I thank you for having me!
